For those of you who didn't already know. Chao have no ranks in the DC, BUT THEY ARE ALL CAPABLE OF GETTING VERY HIGH ABILITIES THAT MATCH AN S RANK.
The stats can be seen through the VMU. So you ask, every Chao is capable of being an SSSSS Chao in dreamcast, so what is the point of making a Speed type, Swim type, fly type, power type etc Chao?
There is a point. The Chao will inrease that ability faster e.g. If you made a Dragon Chao (red) The Chao will increase in power very quickly.
It'll help you get power to max stats with ease.
another example:
If you made a dark swim type Chao, its swim ability will increase faster.

In your gamecube, however. You must evolve your Chao in the ability...

...that is its weakest.
e.g.
If you have a Chao with ranks like E and D, and all the other ability ranks are pretty high, I suggest you evolve that Chao into the ability which it has the E in it.

New? Sonic Adventure 2: Battle came out 6 years ago,
and Sonic Adventure Came out something like 9 years ago..
I doubt there would be that many new people..
I understand if they make another chao game, but..
besides that, it's a tad pointless, you know ?
If someone has a question because they are new (Which I would think is rare ), then they should ask..

BEAT ALL CHAO RACE WITHIN ONE DAY

(Before starting:
Make sure your Chao has at least CDBCE Ranks)
Here's how: Get a Chao, feed it to level 15 Stamina or so, (Stamina helps Chao evolve faster) then pet it to its neutral form. Before it evolves, remove Sonic advance, place it in Tiny Chao garden so you get a clone. Pet the Chao copy and i.e. make it Hero if you are Sonic, evolve it.
HERO GARDEN UNLOCKED!
Now pickup Chao from tiny Chao garden (replace the Chao copy). This Chao can be now turned into a dark Chao to unlock the Dark garden easily, BUT before you do that, put it in Tiny Chao garden again. Now make your Chao copy dark.
DARK GARDEN UNLOCKED!
+HERO AND DARK RACES UNLOCKED AFTER YOU BEAT CHAO RACE BEGINNER.
Pickup and replace your Chao copy, for the last time. This time keep the Chao neutral so it can compete in both Hero and Dark races.
Raise your Chao with the following glitch:
Place an animal infront of Chao when he is facing you- don't give animal to him, make sure animal is at least one inch or so away. You can reuse animals with this glitch, and get it to lv.99 with ease.
Then complete all Karate and Chao race mode with this Chao!

But I recognised by giving Chao more fruit when it is a baby will help it get closer to first evolution. I always do it and I played Sonic adventure this Monday- Time yourself if you think I am wrong. You'll be sure to find that feeding Chao will help them reach evolution faster.

Stamina was probably the wrong word to use. I meant just giving fruits.

I got my chao to level 60 stamina and it still took the same amount of time.. Closest to faster evolution would be the adult progressive evolution.. I've only tested this with the Fly type hero chao, just load it up on hero fruits everytime you go to the garden. When it evolves it is past the normal starting point for an adult chao.. Last time I did this I started out with a pink halo instead of blue..

Its very boring. But you can feed a newborn Chao lots to help it reach evolution time

You just got to give up some time. Get two newborn Chao,
leave one of them alone, do not feed it. Keep feeding the other one and keep both of them neutral- it is best to see the change. You shall notice that the Chao you are feeding fruits is becoming a darker blue faster than the Chao who you are not feeding. It takes about half an hour of feeding time to notice!
It'll become darker blue if you keep it neutral and give it no animals / drives
It'll become yellow if you keep it neutral +give it swim
It'll become red with power
It'll have odd extensions on the head and become green for run
And pink for fly.
Make this a fair test. e.g. If you make one into a Child Fly type, make the other the same.

Well duh, you're affecting it's type....

fruit does NOT help it reach primary evolution (the blue cocoon) any faster, it just affects secondary.

Through this experiment give it no animals / drives
Get:
2 Newborn normal coloured Chao. Hatch them at the same time i.e. throw eggs at the wall. Feed one of them Non Stop! Leave the other one however. You'll notice that, over time, possibly an hour, the one you are feeding fruits to, is going a darker blue. Remember to keep both Chao neutral, you can save and swap sides if necessary. It is the best way to recognise the Change. When the Chao you fed reaches the limit and has gone a very dark blue it evolves...
The one which you did not feed hasn't evolved yet and that Chao is still a medium blue colour.
This proves the fact that Fruits will help Chao reach primary evolution faster!
