I can tell you're inexperienced because you were talking about a Shadow Chao with green stripes???

It always has green stripes, so what do you mean that you were lucky to get one with green stripes. After time, the Chao ages, if you take notice after 10 hours or so, the stripes will go dark green if you give it no animals,
from this point you can make it go through the cosmetic evolution thing.

Try giving it various drives to Change its colour stripes.

I don't know if anyone has posted this, but to get a shadow chao (the common type) pick a normal type chao, feed it green drives with a villain untill it evolves into the green trimmed goblin thing. Then wait a while and feed it more drives. the second change is only cosmetic it appears, but feeding it more green drives will turn it black and dark red (Later on after the first evolution), as well as add a couple more head protrusions(i'm not certain about the later part).
If you want to mix and match, that's fine, but all you need is green drives. . . The chao go through like three changes in their life i think. I'm not so certain and i can't test that right now because my mind is occupied with another game.

The process should take like 4 or 5 hours, waiting for the chao to age enough for the cosmetic change. This is from a hatchling.

Its about time I told you the use for this code. Firstly, type the code in, turn it on. Remember to begin a new profile or use blank memory card (I suggest you use it on a sleeping Chao). Before you go to Chao world, get a set of Chaos drives.

Go into the Garden, if Chao is sleeping, it'll not evolve until you wake it. Wake it up, give it the Chaos drives. If you stop giving them, it'll evolve.
NOTICE HOW HUGE THE CHAO GOES AFTER IT EVOLVES!

This code is useful to help your Chao evolve instantly, plus it does the Second evolution too e.g turns a green Sonic Chao to almost a blue Sonic Chao.
