Green Hill Zone Question- Mystery

Let me remind you of this before I proceed:

You have all 180 emblems when you unlock Green Hill, including ALL CHAO EMBLEMS.

Why is it then, in Green Hill there is a Chao box with a Chao key and a Unicorn animal inside? You've already got all Chao emblems- so why did the game people put a Chao key in Green Hill Zone?

If you want to know where the Chao box is, after the first Checkpoint you must fall off the edge to the right. But thats a bit dangerous, I do have other methods to get there like by taking the lower route of the level but its too hard to explain.

I read some info once: Sonic team stated
'Green Hill zone is only the beginning of all secrets'

There are 21 in Sonic adventure 2:

Run type:
Bunny, Boar, Cheetah
Swim type:
Seal, Otter, Penguin
Power type:
Tiger, Bear, Gorilla
Fly type:
Parrot, Peacock, Cuckoo (Condor or Whatever it is- that purple pidgeon)
Intelligence type
Skunk, Ram, Raccoon
Ghost type:
Skeletal dog (Best at Run)
Bat (Best at fly)
Sea Dragon (or Kappa- Best at Swim, then at Power)
Legendary type
(gives your Chao good luck- it will have more luck winning Onyx and Diamond races without failing on puzzles)
Phoenix,
Unicorn (This animal is easy to obtain in Green Hill)
Dragon

The special animals:
In the Dreamcast Sonic adventure all the above animals will only either +1 or +2 to the Chao.
But the next few animals can +10 to any random ability. However, your Chao needs a small Random quantity of these animals for it to get a +10 in any ability:

Koala
Mole
Skunk

Those are the special animals.
Sonic adventure DX has lost this whole animal score system, the score system is similar to Sonic adventure 2 now.
