I'm lonely- just like Amy

(Quote from Sonic adventure 2)

''I hate you guys, you leave me behind and have ALL THE FUN!''
(The cutscene Before the start of eternal engine Stage with Tails)

Most of you have no idea what true solitude is. . .

And once you get past the instinctual need to be part of the gang (Chimpanzes are like that too, forming gangs in the wild and beating chimps from other hoods to death (often removing their genitals).. . . Anyhow, once you conquer that need to be part of the gang, you realize there's so much more freedom in not having to follow the collective rule (generally led by a moron anyhow).
To coin a corny phrase, be an army of one.
In being the lone wolf, you may be outnumbered, but individually you'll be stronger than those who are in the collective.

And on top of that, you can follow your own code of conduct.

The only one you need to impress is you.

Then again, don't listen to me.

No one else ever has. And then they blame me for their own mistakes later on when they realize i wasn't joking, or speaking out of my ass.

Also, i've been spouting this crap out since. . .

I was 12.
and you have -no- idea how long it's been since then.
If my philosophy hasn't changed in so many years, and I'm still alive, and relatively unscathed. . .
perhaps there's something to it. . . No?

Well not really any more so than many other philosophies...

Socrates lived to be quite old and his last words were "Oh yeah, I owe this guy a chicken. Can you give it to him?" Clearly no regrets. And his philosophy believed that deep down inside everybody would be good if they weren't to ignorant to understand what the good was. My essential point is you can get by on a lot of different outlooks. Optimism is better for your health though.

Not necessarily...

going against the collective for the sake of going against the collective is no different from being part of the collective for the sake of being part of the collective. It doesn't by virtue of the action make you any smarter, just anti social. The strongest are those who are able to function both with and independently of the collective.

You failed to see the point of that.

"Smarter" was in no way an operative word or concept, but the strength of will it takes to go against ones instincts is what is implied. To challenge ones self and proceed without hinderance is the strength of which I spoke.
It also seems you debate simply for the sake of debating.

Point of fact.

This string. . . This subject in general is quite taxing on my emotional equilibrium. You have no reason to know or wonder why it would be as vexing as it is. I concede the point to you for the sake of saving myself the torment of dredging out the swampy waste of my inner world. In conceding, I give my word (for what little bit it's worth)not to drag this on, and attempt to not bring it up in future reference.

Also in conceding, all points attempted to be made by myself are to be considered nothing more than a bad joke.

Time to hide the wounds.
seems sunlight causes them to sting.

Any future reference to this incident or it's relating articles will be ignored.

A transgression such as this shouldn't be tollerated, for it seems I've revealed -far- too much already.
-Ending String and subject-

If you say so...

but sometimes you have to lance a boil before it will heal.

You forget that rebellion IS an instinct of man...

one peculiar to him. It's in our nature to dey nature. Hell, even our posture is an act of defiance. Standing upright spits in gravity's eye, and gravity responds by giving man hernias, flat feet, bad backs, and so forth. By not going with the herd you're not fighting your instincts, just giving into a different set of them.
