in sonic adventure dx what is the best way to coins?

They're rings, not coins...

and a noun, not a verb. But your best bet is just to play stages where you can collect a lot of rings in a short time.

You know that hotel in Station Square? Go inside- and at the top of the stairs there is a Switch. Prepare the Light Dash, push switch to make Rings appear, collect 'em with Light dash, go back, push switch again.
Alternatively, go to the Casino area- the casino button switch.
OR keep digging in Mystic Ruins with Knucklehead! BUT THAT'S THE SLOWEST WAY- REFRAIN!!

Or dig with Knuckles until you get an electric shield...

Just play city escape: find the lost chao and run through to the end. It restarts you at the beginning with all your rings, and you can grab the chao to finish the level once you're maxed. Probably the fastest way to get rings sans the glitch. You can get 10,000 rings in about an hour and a half.

Took me a half-hour each to get 999 using the same trick when I discovered it.

I did it about 200 times, so I got really good at it.

If you have Sonic advance and someone who is willing to play it while you get rings from action stages or adventure fields, do it.

Then transport the Sonic advance rings to the Chao garden.
