All right, here's what you do: make your Chao stay still. For example buy a heart fruit, feed it to Chao and then when flowers bloom around it, Pick up the animal that you got and go infront of the Chao's face, but stay at least one inch away from it and place the animal down in front of its face.
Result:
The Chao will stand up and do the pose as if it took the animal (stars will appear around the Chao) but the animal can be reused, if you just simply keep doing this.
Do anything to make it stay still, and keep placing the animal in between you and the Chao and with a lot of reusages it'll get to level 99 easy.
