Sure, If using Sonic DX , feed it 11 fruits of what kind you want, and evolve it's stamina to 13- 20 after then your chao will sleep often, (means it's close to evolve) and then when he sit down and a cocoon comes up that means evolving. GOT it?
NOTE: In Sonic Adventure 2 you just have to pet him several times to make a hero or dark chao
