It's Chao. Not Choa.

but you (dont know that word) stupid? you know what, i dont even care. you couldve been nicer when you said that its spelled chao.

The point is not whether we can understand it...

Gigazubyte ID:015441 2007/06/05 00:50:47
the point is abject horror that someone could be so damn lazy as to misspell a four letter word more time then they managed to spell it correctly. Seriously, why should we answer a question when the person asking it can't even be bothered to slow down for the five seconds required to make it reasonably legible? Respect is a two way street.

right on sista

grim reaper ID:014440 2007/06/05 02:53:04
you all know what they meant. so does it really matter? no. and that has nothing to do with respect. just someone not knowing how to spell a word, we all knew exactly what they meant. and appearently it was legible because she knew what they were talking about.

It's NOT a case of not knowing how to spell it...

Gigazubyte ID:015441 2007/06/05 05:37:08
The word Chao is all over this fucking page. You can't tell me they don't know how to spell it. The point is make they make no effort to make their post legible. I CAN translate all but the most mangled english, but I shouldn't have to. I make an effort to make my posts clear and I expect everyone else to do the same if they want me to respect them. That's not the same as expecting them to spell every word right every time, but when they misspell a four letter word that's printed right in front of their eyes more often than they get it right that tells me they aren't taking the time to proofread, and that's disrespectful to everyone on the board.

ok. if you can understand what they are saying it doesnt matter. this is a useless argument. can we just drop it? well, you don't have to, but i am.

It DOES matter...

Gigazubyte ID:015441 2007/06/05 06:07:21
Just like it matters if you show up to a wedding dressed in shorts and a T-shirt. It doesn't affect anything, really, but it's disrespectful to everyone who comes dressed in the proper attire.

I would show up to a wedding wearing something like that. D: Of course, that implies that I'd actually go to one...

You could be the bride...

Gigazubyte ID:015441 2007/06/05 09:02:05
and you'd show up with your pants on your head. But that's you.
