Breeding: keep a family tree of chao if you want to get a specific kind of chao (ex. shiny translucent, gaurdian three-tone, shiny two-tones etc.. etc..) You can also just leave your chao with a charact they all like, you will know when a chao likes the character when you whistle and they come running to you. When you leave your chao in the garden and let the game idol for 3 or more hours chao will transform (become adults), mate (do a stupid kissish/dancish thing and an egg appears out of nowhere) ,get older, and reincarnate (go into a pink cacoon and turn into and egg), or die if they were mistreated to much or spent to much time with a character they don't like.
Raising:
1. Chao can get thier own food from the tree fruits that drop on the ground you don't need to feed them anything.
a.feeding your chao fruit alot before it becomes and adult
is fine.
b.when your chao is an adult, fruit once in a while is okay but don't feed it constantly. If you spoil your chao it will most likely die (4-7 fruits of any variety are fine every 3-4.5 hours or you can feed them 3-5 throughout the time.
2. Chaos drives can be given to your chao all you want if you gace it 80 billion chaos drives it wouldn't make it feel as spoiled as a bum.
3. Your chao keeps 10% of its total stats in every skill when it reincarnates which give the oppurtunity to get its stats up very high
4. When a chao transforms a skill grade goes up. if it became a running type chao its running grade would go up, such as "E" to "D" or "A" to "S". And when a chao reincarnates it becomes a child and you can make it transform into any other type or the same type if you want.
a. The letter grades for a chao's skills affect how much the stat goes up when they level up in any of them.
