On this page, I will talk about Chao Sickness, Luck & Intelligence, Chao Aging, Chao Drawing, Chao Friendship, and some other random facts.
Luck and Intelligence
Luck and Intelligence are stats but they are not visible. They work similarly to the other stats in gaining but not entirely the same. Luck is gained by giving your chao blue animals, they get 1/4 a level of luck each time they get a blue animal. Intelligence is gained by giving your chao Legendary/Imaginary Animals, they get 1/4 a level of intelligence each time they get a legendary/imaginary animal. Both of these stats can be raised simultaneously using a mushroom. One bite of a mushroom increases a chao's intelligence by 1/4 a level and increases a chao's luck by 1/4 a level. Since there are 5 bites in a mushroom, both of these stats can go up 1 1/4 a level total if the chao eats the entire mushroom. Explained on the personalities page is how personalities affect these stats. Also, intelligence will DECREASE by 1/2 a level if a chao eats an entire 5 bite strong fruit.
Chao Drawing
The requirements for a chao to draw are to have won crayons in a race and to have learned how to draw using the classroom in kindergarden. Now, the drawings the chao make actually mean something. I will list the drawings and what they mean.
- Food Drawings - If a chao draws a picture of food (most of the time its pizza), it means the chao is hungry.
- Character Drawings - Most of the time, chao draw characters that can't enter the chao garden (in SA2B anyway). Anyway, sometimes the chao draw the characters because they like all characters equally. Or sometimes a chao likes 2 characters equally (like Shadow and Rouge). The chao might draw Shadow, the chao might draw Rouge, or the chao might draw a character that can't enter the chao garden (in SA2B).
- Self Drawings - Yes, sometimes chao actually draw pictures of themselves. These pictures just reflect their alignment. This means a baby chao will draw a baby neutral chao, a hero chao will draw a hero chao, a neutral adult chao will draw a neutral adult chao, and a dark chao will draw a dark chao.
- Flaming Skull Drawings - Now, these drawings are not a good sign. Except if drawn by a Devil Chaos Chao because they draw Flaming Skulls randomly. But if you see this drawn by other chao, its not good. This drawing means the chao hates a despises you. And rather than crying about it, they draw about it.
Chao Sickness
If your chao is coughing or making strange noises or acting kinda strange, it probably means your chao is sick. Here I will list some types of colds and what is done for your chao to get them.
Coughing/Cold - Your chao will get this if it has been left in the water for a VERY long time like around a human hour.
Stomachache - Your chao will get a stomachache if it is a big eater and it has been eating non-stop for a long time.
Rash - Unknown
Now, the only way to cure a sick chao is to simply take it to the doctor, he will give the chao some medicine and he'll be all better.
Now a mistake is to notice these things and to never treat it by taking it to the doctor. If the chao's sickness isn't treated by the time it has to die/reincarnate, it will die no matter what.
Chao Aging
Alright, this is about how long chao live. Each chao year is about 3 human hours. Most chao live for 5 chao years which is 15 human hours. The amount of time a chao lives though can be decreased/increased. Below, I have listed how long chao live under certain circumstances. (Information gotten from an FAQ by MetalHyper)
As stated above, a chao living a normal life that hasn't been abused and only hit a couple of times will live for 15 hours.
Chao given better care but hit at MOST 3 times in their life will live for about 17 hours.
A chao that was cared for excessively and was NEVER beaten/hit in its whole life can live up to 19 hours.
Chao who were kinda neglected and beaten sometimes will live for about 12 hours.
Chao who were beaten and neglected on a regular basis will most likely live for 10 hours.
