Lol, I know. That's not what I mean. >P
And just to not put it off, I might as well explain my theory. Okay, first, there are hundreds of paths that could have taken place in Shadow the Hedgehog. But, in the final one, the one that definatly happened, Shadow already has seven Chaos Emeralds. So which path did he take to get them? Probably the completely good one. And in that, is the worst level of them all. The one where you have to go back to the time when you were created and try to save Maria. Now, this looks like a flashback at first. But it lets you play through it. The way I see it, as you grab the light blue emerald, your extremely strong memories allow you to temporarily turn back time with Chaos Control. But what about the emerald? He still has it in the past, but in the end of the level, after discovering that he couldn't have saved Maria if he did it over again, you go back to the future. I think that when he went back, the light blue emerald was removed from the Special Stage Zone, simply because two light blue Chaos Emeralds can't exist at the same time. When he went back, the light blue emerald was still missing from the Special Stage Zone. That is why, in Sonic 1, there are only six emeralds, as the light blue one is the one missing. Of course, when Sonic used the six Chaos Emeralds to refill Green Hill Zone with life at the end of the game, they warped back to the Special Stage Zone with Chaos Control, and the seventh emerald warped back to the Special Stages with them, even though it didn't exist in that time period. The seventh was probably respawned by the Master Emerald. But what about the other emeralds Shadow has when he warps back? Well, in Sonic Rush, we learn that when Sonic has the emeralds under his control, they can't affect the Sol Emeralds. When Shadow grabs the light blue emerald, it is exposed. The others are under his control when he goes back, so the light blue Chaos Emerald is the only one exposed to the current time period's emeralds.
