There are some really rare Chao called the Translucent Chao. Why are they so rare? Up until last year, nobody knew how to get them. I was the one who found out! Nice, eh? To get the Translucent Chao, however, you're gonna need a Shiny Regular Chao that cannot be found in the stores. Shiny Regular Chao To get this Chao, mate a regular Chao with a Shiny White Chao. If the Chao is not shiny or if it is shiny white, throw it away and keep trying. You'll get this guy soon. Now that you have the Shiny Regular Chao, it is time to get the rare Translucent Chao! You should get some other shiny Chao if you want to get ALL the Translucent Chao. Translucent Regular Chao Mate your newly acquired Shiny Regular Chao with a Emerald Jewel Chao from the GBA. If done correctly, it will come out Regular Translucent. Translucent Blue Chao Mate your newly acquired Shiny Regular Chao with a Sapphire Jewel Chao from the GBA. If done correctly, it will come out Blue Translucent. Translucent Green Chao Mate a Shiny Yellow Chao with an Emerald Chao. If done correctly, it will come out Green Translucent. Translucent Yellow Chao Mate a Shiny Yellow Chao with a Garnet Chao. If done correctly, it will come out Yellow Translucent. Translucent Yellow-Green Chao Get a Translucent Yellow Chao, and make it a Hero Chao. The tips of the Chao's hands, feet, and ears will turn green. Completely Clear Chao Mate any Shiny Chao (except Regular and Yellow) with any Jewel Chao (except Gold, Silver, Sapphire, Emerald or Garnet). This takes a bit of luck for the Chao to come out COMPLETELY clear. Chaos Chao are very rare Chao that live forever. They aren't hard to get per se, but they do take a while! Be prepared to devote your whole life into getting these rarities. Light Chaos Chao Reincarnate a Chao twice. In its third life, give it all twenty-one animals (do not give it duplicates), but NO Chaos Drives. Feed it four Chao Fruit as well, and raise it equally with a specific Hero and Dark character (it MUST like you). When it evolves, you will have the Light Chaos Chao! This Chao has two blue translucent spines with lots of teal colors, a flashing Chao ball and emerald eyes. Angel Chaos Chao Reincarnate a Chao twice. In its third life, give it all twenty-one animals (do not give it duplicates), but NO Chaos Drives. Feed it four Hero Fruit as well, and raise it with a specific Hero character (it MUST like you). When it evolves, you will have the Angel Chaos Chao! This Chao has two large pink 'hair' pieces with lots of pink colors, a flashing halo and sapphire eyes. Devil Chaos Chao Reincarnate a Chao twice. In its third life, give it all twenty-one animals (do not give it duplicates), but NO Chaos Drives. Feed it four Dark Fruit as well, and raise it with a specific Dark character (it MUST like you). When it evolves, you will have the Devil Chaos Chao! This Chao has two devil horns with lots of black and red colors, a flashing blue flame ball and topaz eyes. A Two-Toned Chao is basically a Chao that is two colors and when it grows up, it is real funky looking. To get these Chao, you'll need to mate a regular Chao (NEUTRAL) with a colored Chao. Let's say you mate a Blue Chao with a regular Chao. The results can be either a regular Chao, a blue Chao or a two-toned blue Chao. So, you can get a two-toned, yet you can get a colored or a just a regular as well. Let's say you mate a Shiny Blue Chao with a regular Chao. More results! It can be a regular, shiny regular, blue, shiny blue, two-toned blue or shiny two-tone blue. However, if a shiny two-toned blue Chao was made by two different colored parents (it is possible), then it opens a whole new door of opportunities, including more rare Chao! Black Chao This Chao is very dark-grayish with black markings on its hands, feet, and the tip of its head. To get this Chao, mate a Black Chao with a normal Chao. Like humans, Chao evolve and grow into larger Chao. In the process, their appearance and attitude change. After they evolve once, they can evolve again at the age of four. Chao that evolve at the age of four do NOT go into a cocoon - instead, they gradually change shape/colors. What will they turn into? That all depends on what kind of Chaos Drives/Animals you give them. Below is a list of all ninety Chao you can get. Here is the key: Red: Give it Red Chaos Drives/Animals Yellow: Give it Yellow Chaos Drives/Animals Purple: Give it Purple Chaos Drives/Animals Green: Give it Green Chaos Drives/Animals Blue: Give it no Chaos Drives/Animals OR equally give it Chaos Drives/Animals of all colors Example Yellow + Red--Sumo Chao (Make it into a swim Chao, and then, when it is older, give it red Chaos drives/Animals until it is the age of four, and it will turn into your Sumo Chao.) First Evolution - Neutral Chao Red--Power Chao This Chao is orange and has yellow zig-zagged stripes on it's hands, feet and head and also has four spikes. Yellow--Swim Chao This Chao is green and yellow, has a blue marking on it's head, and has a spike coming from the back of it's head. Purple--Fly Chao This Chao is pink, with two jester-like spikes with purple stripes on them, his hands and feet. Green--Running Chao This Chao is lime-green with three spikes, dark green stripes on them, and has red feet points. Blue--Normal Chao This Chao looks like the baby Chao, only it has green tips on it's hands, head point and feet. It is white with green and yellow stripes on it's hands, feet and chest, and has two floppy ears. Purple--Hero Fly Chao This Chao has two feathers coming from it's head, has purple hands, feet and chest. Green--Hero Running Chao This Chao has one blue and yellow striped spike coming from it's head, it's chest is blue, and it's hands and feet are blue and yellow striped too. Blue--Hero Normal Chao This Chao has two blue ears on it's head, has a yellow pudding-like tummy, and has blue feet and hands. First Evolution - Dark Chao Red--Dark Power Chao This is a weird Chao. It is black with a red cone, red striped hands and feet, and has a orangish-like tummy. Yellow--Dark Swim Chao This Chao has one spike on it's head, is black and has green and blue feet and tummy. Purple--Dark Fly Chao This Chao is dark purple with two jester-like spikes. Green--Dark Running Chao This Chao has three bended spikes with green stripes on them, has a green chest ring and striped hands. Blue--Dark Normal Chao This Chao is black with a red chest ring, feet and hands. Second Evolution Chao - Neutral Red + Red--Full Red Chao This Chao has three big long spikes on the top of his head, and he is all red. Red + Yellow--Hydralisk Chao This Chao is red, has two little spikes coming down from the back of his head, has purple chest, feet and sometimes hands. Red + Purple--Volcano Chao This Chao is red with three spikes coming from the top of it's head. Red + Green--Can Opener Chao This Chao is orange, has two little spikes followed by a big one, and has orange hands and feet. Red + Blue--Advanced Power Chao Looks just like the regular Power Chao just with three spikes. Yellow + Red--Sumo Chao This Chao is green and yellow, and has a very huge belly. Yellow + Yellow--Slicing Chao This Chao is green and light blue, has two long ears that flop way down, and has yellow feet. Yellow + Purple--Duck Chao This Chao is five colors. Purple + Yellow--Armor Chao This Chao is orange, has red stripes on it's hands, feet, has two jester spikes, and has two boomerang like things coming out of the spikes. e Purple + Purple--NiGHTS Chao This Chao has a dark pink color to it, and has purple stripes on it's hands, feet and on it's jester spikes. Purple + Green--Ram Chao This Chao is very light pink with jester spikes with purple stripes on them along with it's hands. It has a yellow body and feet. Purple + Blue--Advanced Fly Chao Looks exactly like the Fly Chao, only taller. Green + Red--Boxing Chao This Chao is bright purple with dark purple striped spikes, red tummy, hands and feet. Green + Yellow--Bright Sonic Chao This Chao is turquoise with a green tummy, feet and hands, and also has three spikes. Green + Purple--Elf Chao This Chao is dull purple with pointed feet that curl at the end, has a big spike with dark blue stripes on it. There are two others in back of it on both sides too. It has a dull yellow tummy, and hands. Green + Green--Sonic Chao This Chao looks exactly like Sonic! It is dark blue with a few spikes (I think five) and it's tummy, hands and feet fade to a very dark blue. Green + Blue--Classic Sonic Chao This Chao is light blue with three spikes, two ears, green belly, hands and feet. Blue + Red--Tough Curl Chao This Chao is a little big, has a curly tip on it's head, but looks like a normal Chao. Blue + Yellow--Slick Tip Chao Looks like a normal Chao only the Chao's tip goes out, and comes back up. Blue + Purple--Elvis Chao Looks like a normal Chao, only the tip curls into it's head like an Elvis hair style. Blue + Green--Small Tip Chao Looks like a normal Chao, only the tip is very small. Blue + Blue--Advanced Normal Chao Looks exactly like a normal Chao, only taller. Second Evolution - Hero Chao Red + Red--Hero Full Red Chao This Chao is just like the first evolution Hero Power Chao, only with bigger ears on it's head. Red + Yellow--Hero Hydralisk Chao This Chao is very fat, has two pink fat head ears with a skinny one, and a pink chest, hands and feet. Red + Purple--Hero Volcano Chao This Chao is white, has two very large head ears, hands and feet that are purple, and has a purple chest. Red + Green--Hero Can Opener Chao This Chao has three head ears which are light red with yellow spots, along with it's hands and feet. It also has a red chest. Red + Blue--Hero Advanced Power Chao This Chao looks almost exactly like the main Hero Power Chao. Yellow + Red--Hero Sumo Chao This Chao is a little fatter than the normal Sumo Chao! That's FAT. It's white with green and yellow hands and webbed feet, with two very long ears that go straight up, and they are also green, yellow and white. Yellow + Yellow--Hero Slicing Chao This Chao is very colorful! It is white, purple, blue and a Caribbean green on it's hands, feet, upper chest and on it's two slicing ears, which are long that go all the way down to the bottom of it's head! Yellow + Purple--Hero Duck Chao Unlike the normal Duck Chao, this doesn't look like a duck. Instead, this Chao has two head ears that are like the Hero Sumo Chao's, with green, yellow and white on them, it's hands, feet and upper chest. Yellow + Green--Hero Aqua Chao One of the coolest Swimming Chao, the Hero Aqua Chao! This Chao is white, and has ears like the Hero Slicing Chao, but this Chao has three different shades of blue on it's long floppy ears, upper chest, hands and feet. Yellow + Blue--Hero Advanced Swim Chao Looks exactly like the normal Hero Swim Chao, only this Chao is shorter, and has more yellowish and bluish colors to it. Man, most of the Hero Swim Chao would be great for Hawaiian Chao Day! Hmm... Purple + Red--Hero Scorpion Chao This Chao has two purple head spikes that split into two on each, and the rest of it looks like a regular Hero Fly Chao. Purple + Yellow--Hero Armor Chao Verrrrrrrrry weird Chao! It has squiggly feathers on it's head that are purple and blue, the tummy is bluish greenish, and the rest of the Chao is mainly white.

Purple + Purple--Hero NiGHTS Chao Looks like the original NiGHTS Chao, but this Chao is more white, has four very long feathers on it's head, and it's hands, tummy and feet are purple. Purple + Blue--Hero Advanced Fly Chao Looks like the regular Hero Fly Chao, only this Chao's feathers on it's head go up. Green + Red--Hero Boxing Chao Funny! This Chao is just like the main Hero Run Chao, but it has purple and yellow stripes on it's hands and has a head spike with a ball at the top! FUNNY! It also has a light orange tummy. Green + Yellow--Hero Bright Sonic Chao This Chao is hard to explain. It has an ice green tummy, with blue, purple and green striped hands and also has a head piece that splits into two more head pieces; they also have the purple, green and blue stripes. Green + Purple--Hero Elf Chao What the....Okay, this Chao is white, and has purple and blue striped hands, feet, and tummy, and the weirdest thing of all - this Chao has a head piece the shape of a Heart! So, I like to also call this the Hero Heart Chao! Perfect for Valentine's Day... Green + Green--Hero Sonic Chao This Chao is white with light blue and blue striped hands, and has three head pieces that are also the color of theses stripes. Oh, and it also has a yellow pudding-like tummy. Green + Blue--Hero Classic Sonic Chao This Chao looks like the main Hero Run Chao, but this time, from the long head spike it has, comes two more! Blue + Red--Hero Tough Curl Chao This Chao is white, has purple and dark blue striped hands and feet, and has two bowling pin shaped ears/spikes. Blue + Yellow--Hero Slick Tip Chao This Chao is white, and has an icy blue color to it's hands, feet and tummy. It has Two large head ears/spikes that are also the icy blue color. Blue + Purple--Hero Elvis Chao This Chao has light purple stripes on it's hands and feet. It has two head spikes that are in the shape of a lollipop; they have the stripes too. Red + Yellow--Dark Hydralisk Chao This Chao is very very, VERY dark green, it's almost black! It has a light green tummy, and light green striped arms. Red + Purple--Dark Volcano Chao This Chao just like the Dark Hydralisk Chao--but it's very, very VERY dark purple! It has dark red striped hands, two little spikes on the back of it's head, and has a purple tummy. Red + Green--Dark Can Opener Chao It resembles the Dark Power Chao a little, but not enough for me to not give a summary of it. It is black, with a yellow tummy, yellow striped hands and cone, and at the top of the cone are two little spikes that stick up. Red + Blue--Advanced Dark Power Chao This Chao looks like the Dark Power Chao, but it has a purple tummy. The elusive Tails Chao can only be obtained by one method: Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II. This Chao is very expensive (real-life money) and only dedicated Chao fans will want one. The effort is worth it. It is a very cute Chao! It has two tails and the two ears. It even has the "beard"! To see what you need for the very special Chao, check the specs below. Nintendo GameCube Sonic Adventure 2 Battle / Sonic Adventure DX Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 GBA-GCN Link Cable First off, beat the mission in PSO titled "The Fake in Yellow". When you've completed it, go into the Pioneer and then go back into the forest by means of the transporter. There will be a few Reg Rappies looking at some boxes. Destroy the boxes, and walk around there a bit. A Chao will appear and give you a key to access the Chao Transporter and get your Tails Chao. Stick around for a while and listen to the "Samba De Amigo" theme song. Then, go back into the Pioneer and go to the Chao Transporter. Turn on your GBA at this time. Go to "Download Garden" and you will get a Tails Chao in a Tiny Chao Garden. Shut off PSO (not the Game Boy) and insert your Sonic Adventure 2 Battle or Sonic Adventure DX Game Disc. Go into a Garden and choose 'Pick Up' to transfer the Tails Chao to the Gamecube. CONGRATS! YOU NOW HAVE THE TAILS CHAO! GO BRAG! It can automatically swim, walk and fly on its own, and its default name will be TAILS. You can rename it Prower or Miles if you choose.

Well, here you can see some recipes on how to make your Chao look like your favorite characters. Sonic Chao Get a normal Chao. Give it green Chaos Drives and evolve it into a Neutral Run Chao. Keep on giving it green drives until it is four years old. This Chao is Sonic blue, with long quills and a darker blue tummy. Shadow Chao Get a normal Chao. What are Jewel Chao? They are special shiny Chao that you can get from the Game Boy Sonic games by earning a certain amount of rings in the action stages/mini-games. Open the shop window and look down the list for certain color egg that you want. If you don't see which one you want, go into one of the mini-games and exit immediately and check again for a new egg. There should be a new egg. If you have enough rings, you can buy it. If you want a list and pictures of all the Jewel Chao now, just read on. You can transfer the Chao egg from the GBA to the GameCube by getting a GBA/GCN Link Cable and going into the Chao Transporter on the GC and selecting "Pick Up". You can pick up all the rings, eggs, Chao and fruits in the Tiny Chao Garden on GBA if you choose. All of these Jewel Chao are required to create the elusive Translucent Chao. Silver Chao (500 rings) A gorgeous Chao at a bargain price! This Chao looks a lot like the Shiny Grey Chao. Gold Chao (1000 rings) Sparkly and beautiful, and incredibly affordable. This Chao looks a lot like the Shiny Brown Chao. Ruby Chao (5000 rings) This Chao isn't really a "ruby" color. It is more pinkish than red. This Chao looks a lot like the Shiny Pink Chao. Sapphire Chao (7000 rings) This Chao glitters just like a sapphire! This Chao is also required to create a Metal Sonic Chao. This Chao looks a lot like the Shiny Blue Chao. Amethyst Chao (8000 rings) I think this sucker is ugly and useless, unless you are devoted to getting all the Jewel Chao. This Chao looks a lot like the Shiny Purple Chao. Emerald Chao (10000 rings) One of the prettiest Jewel Chao is also one of the most expensive. This Chao looks a lot like the Shiny Green Chao. Garnet Chao (12000 rings) Wow, this crimson red Chao is as hot as lava! This Chao looks a lot like the Shiny Red Chao. Aquamarine Chao (14000 rings) A beautiful aquatic Chao, and one of my personal favorite Jewels! This Chao looks a lot like the Shiny Sky Blue Chao. Peridot Chao (16000 rings) As fresh as the grass it looks like! This green Chao is incredible looking. This Chao looks a lot like the Shiny Lime-Green Chao. Topaz Chao (18000 rings) A very pretty goldish/orangish color. This Chao can be used to make the Super Shadow Chao. This Chao looks a lot like the Shiny Orange Chao. S Chao are extremely frustrating to create because they take so long. The whole process can take almost one-hundred hours if you start out with a Chao with horrible stats. Most of the work comes from breeding different Chao. The Breeding Method To get an all-S Chao by the Breeding Method, you should get two Chao that have one or more S stats and some A stats. Once you have them, mate the two Chao together. The baby they produce should have two or more S stats. Mate the two Chao that you previously mated again to get another Chao with S stats. When the two new Chao get older, mate those two together. Keep repeating this chain until you have an all-S Chao. These Chao are very special, especially if they are a rare breed of Chao. The Reincarnation Method If you decide to use this method, kudos to you! Making an S Chao by reincarnation process can take over one-hundred hours. Get a Chao with at least one S rank. Give it Chaos Drives to the stat that is second best (if it is not S). When it evolves, continue to give it drives until it reincarnates. When it is reincarnated, that stat should be an S. Repeat this chain until you have an all-S Chao. The All-S 3266 Chao To get an all-S 3266 Chao, you must first get an all-S Chao. Make all of the Chao's stats level 99. If the stats aren't 3266 each, you will have to reincarnate it once or twice. Keep repeating this chain until you have an all-S 3266 Chao. Make it into a Chaos Chao, and it will be immortal! This is my run-down of the all-S Chao section. Making S Chao can be time consuming, but if you are a diligent Chao raiser, and have no life, you may very well succeed! Good luck to you.
