rather than switching, Giga is more like chaos, with a new form for every emerald up to the seventh. As far as moves, there's chaos control, chaos beam (Think the super laser the walkers in SA2B do) and various punches and kicks. Plus an energy drain.

and I fail to see how that would mean 'giving up' the character. It hardly stops you from using it in a story, or drawing it (Remember, Sega has a forum specifically FOR fanfiction) and there isn't any way you could profit from it yourself, as it's a FANcharacter, and thus dependent on the universe that they already own. If anyone else used Gigazubyte without my permission I'd be pissed, but I figure it's only fair with Sega, as I'm borrowing their world and characters when I write. Granted, I'm not making money from it, but I couldn't anyway, so what reason is there for me to care if they do?

Also to add that when they use the character, it might not even have the same personality, nor it's background. They might make what would originally be a wise character into some kiddy loon.

I don't advocate idea theft, but I think sometimes people get a little too jealous of their intellecual property. Considering how much I borrowed from Sega to create the character in the first place, I think it would be a tad hypocritical to raise a fuss if they used it. I wouldn't be real happy if I didn't get a mention, but I'd be more disapointed than mad, because I think Sega is better than that. Putting my name in the credits wouldn't do that much in any case. Anyone who knows me would already know that I thought of it, and anyone who doesn't know me isn't going to suddenly know who I am. All idea theft ever proves is that you aren't good enough to come up with your own stuff, and you haven't got the guts to admit it. Think about all the art thieves you've met. You complain that DA is too easy on them, but, does it really need to crack down after all? The moment they're spotted for a fraud, the community at large turns on them, and it takes a lot more effort to regain lost trust and respect than it was to get it in the first place. Being less protective of my character doesn't mean I put any less effort into it, or that I care any less about it, it simply means that I don't feel threatend by the possibility of having someone else attempt to make it their own. Because they can't. No matter how someone may try, Gigazubyte will never belong to them any more than Sonic belongs to me, no matter what a copyright says. They know it, I know it, and I haven't got anything to prove to the rest of the world.
