Sea Monster/Half-fish is the best IMO...^_- It gives your chao a cool ass fire ball on top of it's head. Second would be the dragon.

Dragon chao are pretty sweet, half fish have the little flame ball, and skeleton dogs allow them to wear hats. As for stats, any of the mythical or ghost animals give good bonuses, but I find chao fruit to be more to my liking for stat building.

Your right, but I gave my chao alot of chao fruit and it stayed neutral, even when it reincarnated.

It didn't work. I always raise my dark chao with shadow and the chao didn't seem to want to go back to dark. I also gave him alot of dragons and I couldn't get the antennae or the claws and horns off of him. I decided to keep him that way. My chao data got erased and that was the end of him, my best chao to date.

Chao seem to be extremely buggy...

I've raised several on naught but chao fruit and drives, and never had a problem changing alignment. The trick is how many times you pet them, not how long you do it, oddly enough.

Meh...I've been through with chao for awhile now and the game for that matter. I may start again in the near future. Now, I'm focusing on beating Sonic Mega Collection.
