Hey Gigazubyte...

Do you know a lot about electromagnetic waves?

Knowing him...

Probably.

That nerd knows just about anything... >_>;

You flatter me too much ^_~...

Gigazubyte ID:015441 2006/04/27 08:27:37
even if that was supposed to be an insult. How many times have I taught you something new, and, if not useful, at least interesting?

I was just stating a blatently obvious fact... XP

Blatanly obvious? Now look, you've made me blush...

you might want to balance praise like that with something stronger than nerd.

Don't push it. >.>

I am insulted when people call me a nerd...

Jon166 ID:017050 2006/04/28 07:55:17
Because I am most definately a geek... Why can't they get it straight?

Okay:
1)Can electricity be used as an energy source to form X rays?
2)Can X rays be easily turned into electricity without using too much energy from outside sources?

BTW: This isn't my homework. Just a little project I'm working on...

1: Yes. I'm not sure exactly how the process works, but I know they don't power the X-rays in hospitals with cheese, if you get my drift. Though that would be really cool.
2: Probably, but I'm not sure how efficiently it can be done, and seeing as the atmosphere blocks most things above ultraviolet, you couldn't get enough to make it worthwhile on the surface. I couldn't say what it'd be worth in space. There's also conservation of energy. Even at perfect efficiency you can;t get more out than you put in, so you'd end up with more compact transfers but fewer of them.

Cool. I was thinking about something, but it doesn't matter...
