I wouldn't apply his theories to the games either. I just find clear and gray very similar. I guess I could just use the gray Sol Emerald until your done with it. Unless you want to trade for the red one...

In Fleetway, the gray emerald has the power to control the other emeralds. I'm also pretty sure the the grey emerald was the 7th emerald added to the previous six...
