Find the chao key (I'm guessing you already did). Then, pick up Omochao.

Okay, first go to the very top part of Ghost Train Mountain, where you see one of those switches that glow whenever you walk over them and an Omochao standing next to it. Down below, you'll see a track with a train driving back and forth (but don't go there yet). Well, pick up the Omochao, hit the switch (the platform holding a railroad below will rotate and change the train's course), and jump down to that ledge before the train appears again. Once you're there, hit that other switch that you should see nearby. Wait for the platform to rotate again, and then throw Omochao on the middle of track! The train should be moving back and forth along the track, repeatedly running over him.

I haven't played it in a while so I'm not far. You know my friend got really far, but her stink'n memory card doesn't have the data and she didn't delete it (cheap memory card GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...................................)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, in aquatic mine, there is a part where he is underground in an underwater area. There is a ledge you can throw him off that leads to a bunch of black spike balls. If he hits one, he will be stuck, and will keep crying for help while constantly being destroyed by the ball, which also makes the sound of a chainsaw when destroying him. It's awesome!
