Thats Sonic 3 & Knuckles, right? I've been wanting to play it since you told me about the Super Emeralds, Hyper Sonic, and all that. I even dreamt about it. I'm in Zone 5 in Sonic 3 with Tails, and I have some emeralds. But that has nothing to do with this. And did you know Sonic 3D Blast has no Super Sonic!

You can pick up all the emeralds by the second zone. I'd recomend just looking up the locations on the net and saving every time you pick one up. It's annoying to go through the first stages over and over, but having the emeralds is a huge help.

and go super. Then when you get to the knux levels you charge the emeralds into super emeralds and eventually go hyper. Except tails who has to have all the super emeralds to even go super.

Hmm... I think it has to do with their power. Tails is very weak, and that has the effect of it being very hard to go super. On the other hand, Shadow is super powerful, and he can go hyper with just the Chaos Emeralds. And what about Blaze in Sonic Rush? Is she hyper or super?

Shadow only went super. A lot of people called it hyper shadow, but it wasn't...

Seven normal emeralds only make a character super. You would know if it was hyper because they get even faster and gain special abilities.

Okay. And did you notice that Shadow's middle spikes are down in SA2B when super, but they are up in StH when super. Oh well. I loved the little glimpse of Live and Learn in the part where Shadow is absorbing the emeralds.

Sonic's spikes were more up turned in heroes too.

I don't have heroes, unfortunately. I have rented it and beat all but getting to emeralds twice, but I don't see a reason to buy or even rent it again just to try to get to the last battle.

I like how complex the series is. My brain just goes haywire at first when I learn something new about it, then I can't stop imagining things about it. Such as one, where the meanest teachers in my school absorb the Chaos Emeralds, then start terrorizing the students. Then, my friends and I fly up to Angel Island and I activate the Master Emerald and bring the Chaos Emeralds back to us. Then we absorb them, and we have an awesome fight with the super teachers. And I'm the one who fights Mr. Eager, my P.E. teacher. So what if I can't run! I have exercise enduced asthma! And oh well if I like to stay in the corner during dodgeball...

The games don't have enough of a plot to have holes, except for shadow. Like, how did black doom NOT take over the world sooner? His army is thrashing modern civilization, you'd think they could have grabbed the emeralds sometime in the past. Is shadow the original? A clone? An android? What happened to Emerl on the ark?

Comics aren't really part of the story, so I don't count them...

Same with the show. I only trust the games. Now, about Black Doom... Black Doom probably needed to grow his army by creating more Black Aliens. They probably didn't have the same weapons as they did in StH, so they needed to be invented. Also, Black Doom may have inspected the planet from the ARK, so that he could build strategy, such as knowing where to plant the bombs in Central City. He may have also needed the Eclipse Cannon (Which was built to kill his army on the Ark with the Biolizard and the collision course if he tried to use it at full power to destroy the whole planet.) so he could destroy the city. Let me post the others in another post...

He's been to earth 40 times. He should have figured out how to take over long ago...

Besides, this is Mobius, not Earth. And he just built it back then because he only had that technology. Those gems that would super-power the flying temple were just invented, and apparently needed to be all activated around the same time, so that's why Shadow, being super fast, was assigned that task. If the gems were just invented, then apparently they had just gotten their technology. And remember when Black Doom said "Our comet can't handle going through another planets atmosphere." Maybe they got their technology from the last planet they invaded, two cycles ago. Then, because of their injured comet, they needed a new way in. They got help from Robotnik to create Shadow to help infiltrate the bases and help the army. They also strategized. Then the next time was their first time that they could invade Mobius.

If they put the temple down they had to have a way to get it there...

The thing is huge. Even if they built it on earth they would need a lot of creatures to finish it before the comet left. Either way they would have had to put an invasion force more than strong enough to conquer earth, and it is earth in the games, not mobius. If you're not going to go with the comics you need to be calling it earth. It's clearly demonstrated in the opening scene that one giant black arms is strong enough to crus cars, so even weaponless they could have destroyed a low tech civilization effortlessly.

Nowhere in any game has Earth ever been mentioned. There isn't any reason for you to think of it as Earth. Well, the car crushing thing wouldn't destroy a whole city. Mobius could still come together and destroy them. And it takes a while to create a greater population than a planet when you only have a small comet. And they could have left some aliens in the temple.

There is no "Mobius" in all three of the original manuals, but the first story of the "Sonic Firsts" is titled "Don't Cry for me Mobius." So apparently it was all made up by the comics.

All they need are the seven emeralds. They could manage that easily.

The emeralds are well protected by people. And once the people found out about the aliens being after the emeralds, they would use extra protection for them, as they did in StH, but in StH they have the power to defeat the humans.

and even completely unarmed the aliens are WAY more powerful than humans. One unarmed giant could stop a small army of men with spears. There's no way humans from 2000 years ago could have coordinated any sort of plausible defense.

Now for the other question. Shadow probably was a clone, not an Android. I think he was genetically created from a sample of the original, and just had part of the memories dormant for a time. And maybe Eggman actually used the original recipe from his grandfather. I doubt he is a robot, though. And about the original idea: it could be. If you notice as Shadow falls to the Earth, there is a flash of light, then he dissappears. Maybe he did Chaos Control. Okay, Emerl is next post.

Actually, I just beat it again today, because I recently heard about the journals. Well, apparently Gerald was working on the Gizoid, and the people higher up than him in the Ark's management somehow heard of this, Shadow, and the Eclipse Cannon, so they came and attacked. Maria was shot. Somewhere along the way of Gerald's experiments, the Gizoid got too much power, then unlocked all of his super attacks and a destructive instinct. It destroyed a lot of the ARK, and Gerald found a way to shut it down. He put in AI feelings, and added the keyword, Bring hope to humanity, to turn him away from destruction. Those were Maria's last words (Which I noticed before the journal thing, and I thought it had to do with Shadow being turned back to good as he remembered her saying that, which did the same thing as with the Gizoid.), and could only be overwritten if someone with more power than the original Link establisher showed them their power.

Right. The Gizoid was responsible for the ark being shut down...

Yes, but all of these things may have been known by the army, but they may have decided to keep it a secret and said it was Shadow to all of those on the Ark. All of these flashbacks were by Shadow, which was being made at the time, by Black Doom, which was only there occasionally, and by GUN's commander, which was only a kid and didn't know much about science and such, so he didn't even know about it. All others are dead.

You run around the ark taking out artificial chaos...
