On Chao Racing there should be a Chaos race and only Chaos Chao can enter and there should be a Chao karate like on SA2B only more improved and w/ more levels. On kart racing and 2P u should be able to play as your chao, which u can download from any garden or the VMU and there should be a chaos garden(assuming there isn't already one)(And more chao for Black Market.)(Put that there too.) All this should be downloadable from the downloads page.



P.S. On this BBS there was a rule that u could only talk about Chao before Sonicteam left many years ago. Does this rule still apply or did sega just forget to erase that from the top of the page?

We beleave that users can develop your own community on the BBS within the rules, even if we don't exercise our authority.

The whole point of being a moderator is to enforce the rules that the administrator (in this case, Sonic Team) sets for the board. You ignored this place and the members got out of hand. You were the ones that abandoned us. And you know it too. So long as this English board still exists, you, as a moderator, have no right to leave it. Neither did Sonic Team. Sonic Team even ripped down most of the English section of the site. Ah, racism at its finest, don't you think so too?

beleave? The mods, however many of you there were, haven't exercised ANY authority for the longest time, even when users were clearly violating the rules on an unignorable scale. You have the right ID, and it's clear that users have been banned and posts deleted, so I don't doubt that you have mod powers, but are you the same mod who originally used that ID? If not, what happened? I hate to sound trite, but the rules of this bbs exist to help everyone enjoy it, and you are tasked with enforcing them. We are asked to follow the rules for that reason, but as a mod your responsibilities go beyond that, you are supposed to make sure everyone else does too. I understand policing every post is pretty much impossible, and that if you followed the rules to the letter we'd all be banned, myself included. However, simply banning flooders and those who repeatedly use obscene language with no regard to the possible prescence of children isn't the best way to help this community. I would request that you TALK to us. Explain the rules we are expected to follow more clearly, guide those who are confused, et cetera. The rules as they stand are extremely vague, and it isn't always clear what is appropriate and what is not. Also, leaving a note after banning someone and deleting their posts will make them a much better example of what not to do for the rest of us. Communicating with the users you are charged with is not at all the same as exercising authority, and it would help us all feel more at ease.
EDIT: Okay, we've moved on to the next page. However, please do respond to this post. I will be back to check it in case you do.

This BBS is basically a moderator-less free place. But sometimes some undesired things happen (accidentally or artificially) which we cannot overlook, and we correct them with authoritiy. Thus in this sense, we are not really moderators but more suitably managers or administrators.

It's true that we set some minimum rules here, but we don't intend to strictly enforce them by banning users who break them. Users are asked to follow the rules, and users can ask others to follow them. This should help the community. You don't need any authority, nor have to be a specially privileged person, in order to do this. Even after this if a person repeats intentional nuisance, then we will stop the person's account as the final resort.

And it's true that our rules are vague. But do you desire more strict rules? For example on Japanese Chao BBS, the users sets their own posting rules, written or implied, and no one (really not a single person) dares to break them. It may sound unbelievable for you all here, but we think it's natural. And we mods also respect their rules. And of course, the rules may differ here on English BBS. In fact, When we once used to delete all meaningless posts such as hi and bye from this BBS, we received many complains. Now we understand it as climatic differences.

About the flooders. Such intentional destruction is far from the subject to discuss, and so we ban the flooder instantly. It's hard to consider that the flooder doesn't know that flooding is annoying and destructive.

We are not the Japanese. We are different from you. Moderators leave and chaos insues. I, myself, think it is natural to follow the rules of any board I go to, but not many think the same way. It just doesn't work like that. We need a mod figure here. The presence of one alone is enough to discourage people from spamming, but it was really disheartening when there was no one to turn to when our pages got flooded.

So then... if you ban all flooders, then why weren't some of them banned...? Sonic Team was gone completely before, and that still doesn't answer why you tore down the English section of the site. Not all people are lucky enough to speak or read Japanese, and it's so biased that you never really cared before. I've asked Sonic Team for help with the spamming and flooding and they don't listen. In fact, I think you'd just delete the English board if it wasn't interconnected with the Japanese one.

If you really are a moderator and you'll actually check this place, I might help out with it again as well... I used to help Kirby a while back, when Sonic Team really left. Maybe. I don't think that you should've ignored us in the first place, because some people that come here are just such idiots! They don't listen to reason, nor seem to possess any sort of sense at all.

I agree that banning anyone who posts about things other than chao is unreasonable, as is punishing someone before they have had a chance to learn the rules. We have, as you suggested, developed an informal etiquette code of our own, and so long as people try to follow it things run pretty smoothly. However, when users believe there is no one with the power to punish them there is a problem. Most will obey the rules to an acceptable degree, but the few that don't can be enough to ruin it for the rest. In the time that I have spent here I have done my best to help everyone get along, as have many other users, but some refuse to listen. It is incredibly frustrating to be unable to stop these people or rely on a mod. Specifically, I am refering to a user who went by the name of Lang. At one point he flooded the bbs for several days without being banned. To my knowledge he never was. The evidence remains, beginning on page 3560. He was asked to stop repeatedly, but he ignored us. The only thing we could do was wait for him to get tired of flooding. Just the visible prescence of a mod is enough to discourage bad behavior from users who ignore their peers, and that's all we ask for. If you will just be there we can do the rest for ourselves. Thank you for your time.

Yes, definately the real deal... And about the flooding thing, one user (Tacos Are Yummy, which actually is myself, but...) flooded for about 15 posts just because he wanted to see a reaction, but he (fortunately) wasn't banned. Is his case ignored because it was so small, or did you not notice? Either way, thank you for revealing yourself. It is nice to see an actual person here who is somewhat more important than ourselves. Yet, the fact that we have no ranking system is a nice idea. This way, newer people (such as myself) have are not only noticed once they are a higher rank, but by their reputation and their acception of the community. This also has to do with the fact that there aren't many people here because nobody knows of this place. It isn't as hard to be known in a small group.
