Sonic DX import/Chaos Chao

Hello everyone!
I found a gold chao during adventure mode in Sonic DX, and liked it enough to send it to SA2B my chao garden via the GBA cable. Something must have happened, because I took it to the chao doctor and under the personality section, nothing was written. Also, I have done nothing but pet him, hold him, and cradle him since I imported him (he is the only chao in my neutral chao garden) he does not come when I whistle! That is a bummer for me because the only way I know to tell if a chao will rebirth is if they come when you call. Does anyone please know how to fix this?
Also, will giving a chao special fruit( like chao fruit, hero/dark fruit, and mushrooms) and giving it more than one type of small animals (eg, two bats) keep it from becoming a chaos chao? And can you give a chaos chao chaos drives once it's a chaos chao, or will it ruin it?

and just care for your chao more and it will like you (gtiving it fruit, animals, and chaos drives also helps.)It doesn't matrter what fruit/food you give your chao, but you must give your chao ONE of every animal(no more, no less)on its third life or beyond. It's best to do that on the fourth life, though. After your chao becomes a chaos chao, you can give it whatever you want.

It dosen't matter what you give.
Just give it anything you can and it will like you more and follow you even if you don't whistle.
Beleive me, I've tried it myself.
