Everyone, there are spoilers here for Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, and the movie Clockstoppers.
Some of you may have noticed this before, but Chaos Control makes some sense. Sonic and Shadow are able to absorb the Chaos Emeralds unlimited power, which super charges their atoms to move so fast that other people can't see them. But they can warp through walls and such. This is similar to the end of the movie Clockstoppers. He was able to move through walls because his molecules were moving so fast that they can pass through other molecules. They can control the power and what absorbs it. Notice the famous saying:
Chaos is power. Power is enriched by the heart. The controller serves to unify the chaos.
"They can control the power and what absorbs it." "Chaos is power."
They control the chaos. Chaos control.
"The controller serves to unify the chaos."
The controller, which is Sonic (or Shadow), unifies the chaos inside of him, creating Super Sonic (or Hyper Shadow).
Now how can the chaos emeralds "create" energy? The Law of Conservation of Energy states that Energy can't be created or destroyed, just transformed. Now what if the Master Emerald absorbs energy, and it is released through the Chaos Emeralds? That would make sense because Sonic (and Shadow) never use their Super (or Hyper) form when it isn't fully put together. Maybe that's why in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Rouge tries to get the Master Emerald, so that they could stop the Biolizard. She works for the government, and she found out about him while spying on Dr. Eggman. She saw the Biolizard on a piece of paper (I've heard you can see his picture if you look closely). She eventually gave the rest to Knuckles because she knew that giving up was the only way to get the Master Emerald back together.
