I have a few cheats for Sonic 3&Knuckles.
Level select(note: this code only works with s3&K): Go to the first stage, angel island act1 and go up to the swinging ropes or vines or whatever and press these buttons on the d-pad: Left, left, left, right, right, right, up, up, up. It may not work the first time, so enter it again until you hear a chime that sounds like when you get a ring. Press z on the gamecube and select title screen or, if you have the computer version, restart it, and press down twice at the title screen. You can select what music you want to play! Press a on the gamecube to chang characters. 00 for sonic&tails, 01 for sonic, 02, for tails, and 03 for knux.
Debug mode: Enter the level select code and go to mushroom hill act 1 and go to the pulleys. Use the leftx3, rightx3, and upx3. btw, x=times. Then either A: pause and press b on the gamecube, or b: press z on the gcn controller and select title screen, not save&exit. Now go to the level select screen and hold b and select the desired stage and press start. Use x on the gcn to jump, i guess b to switch gravity, or a to turn on debug mode. Use that same button to turn it off, b to switch the item, and x to place it. And a bonus effect! You can go to any stage with ANY character! Be it sonic and tails at knux's final fight, or knuckles at the death egg!
Infinite lives at launch base act 1: Go to the first siren and hold down a spin dash, and the kamikaze bird thingys should come flying at you. do this for the rest of the stage time to get up to 50 lives.
Super tails, sonic, or knux without any emeralds: Enter the level select and debug mode cheats and do the debug mode thing, turn into a ring, scroll through until you find a monitor and place it. It should have an S on it. Jump on it to be awarded 50 rings and an automatic shift into the threesome's super forms. Note that it wont work with Sonic and Knux's hyper forms.
