One it's a sin to take another's life in your own hands and take the right of life from them. Two, one who has taken the right of life (given by God, by the way)no longer has that right. Three, God gives his powert to the government to take the life of somone who has forfeited his rights by taking the rights of another. Four, you do not have to take his life, you have to shoot him. Jesus would allow you to shoot him, but never allow you to finish him off an a fury after imobalizing him. Go ahead and shoot, if you kill him, you have to live with another's life on your conscience. That is the curse of the soldier.

Well, if you have to protect your country and family by fighting in a war, then there is nothing wrong with fighting. And who says that God appointed the government? If they attack, and you have to fight, it's not on your hands, it's on theirs. And what if you can't immobilize them? What if your only choice of attack to defend yourself and family was to use a weapon that would kill them? Would it be a sin then.
