Actually, I'd really consider this flooding the boards... BUt I won't get into that now. Personally, I think Halo sucked. Not because of gameplay (no, gameplay was revolutinary and everything was beautifully rendered), but because it promotes violence and such. And it's not the fact that there are guns in the game, but the fact that you can literally toss a grenade onto a Grunt's head and watch it go kaboom.
You know, there's a saying out there. "Guns don't kill people. People kill people." So I'm not saying to get rid of guns, 'cause when someone is smashing your cranium in with an Easton baseball bat and you have nothing to defend yourself with, then what do you do? Either way, if you take away guns they kill with knives. If you take away knives they kill with sticks. If you take away sticks they kill by exposing you to toxic gas. There's no way to stop violence, but I still think that it's just tacky of so many games there days to make violence look like it's a GOOD thing.
And just for the record people, I'm NOT a tree hugger, I DON'T watch Teletubbies, I DON'T go about my day throwing flowers everywhere and in general trying to spread the love (Homosexual people DO NOT do this!).
...Man, that felt good.
