Is the tiny chao garden different with Sonic Advance (or Sonic Advance 2) than without?

It is different, not only can you save, there are more eggs available(Ruby, aqumarine, peridot, topaz, onyx -only available on Sonic Advance (2))There is also some kind of rumor of Moon and Sun Chao, but after working my ass off to try to get them, I have concluded that they cannot be obtained in the GBA.

I thought you had to transfer them all to the GCN to make it work.

I did... still no results in that manner.
