in the chao garden go to invisible wall on the second stone {left of the garden} then keep double jump hitting the wall {notice your chao are underground}the only thing to get them out is to renter the garden.

I did that glitch after leaving my game on for hours. When I re-entered the garden, my game froze and I had to restart the game without saving.
