I've never had more than 20,000 rings at a time from playing levels, because I spend like crazy, but there's an easy built in glitch that can let you get 100,000 rings or more in less than half an hour. Even before I learned the trick I probably earned well over 100,000 rings, but I never had near that many at one time.
