What are the requirements to evolve into a dark chao (makes a blue cacoon) because its been a while and hes still neutral

Use Shadow, Rouge, or Dr. Eggman (I'd prefer not to use Dr. Eggman because he's a human, although it doesn't matter), and keep feeding & petting your chao with those characters. It'll eventually turn reddish-black, and have a devil tail, and may get these spike horn things if you use Shadow.

XDDD!

The chao won't actually become dark until it evolves, which takes three hours of sitting around.
