*clears throat* an emblem is an item that you can get by winning chao races, karate,beating a level,beating a level with all 'A' ranks,beating boss attack mode, or cart racing and there are 180 total

if you noticed after you beat a level you will see a sonic in a ring spinning. well that is an embloum
